Birth control methods

The birth control methods fall under three categories, Preventive, Contraceptive, and Corrective.
1) Preventive methods- preventing sperm from entering the female.
a) Vasectomy- both vasa deferentia are cut within the scrotum and loose ends are tie off.
b) Sterilization- in women, it is tubal ligation; the fallopian tubes are cut and tied off.
c) Castration- removal of testes
d) Hysterectomy- removal of the uterus
e) Oophorectomy- removal of ovaries
2) Contraceptive methods- preventing the sperm from reaching the egg.
a)Â Natural method- rhythm method or safe period.
b) Mechanical method- use of condom by male and diaphragm by the female, use of intrauterine device like loops, spirals, rings made of plastic or copper.
c)Â Chemical method includes the use of creams, foams, douches that make the vagina unfavorable for sperm survival.
3) Corrective methods
a)Â Abortion-elimination of fetus before birth
b)Â Infanticide- elimination of child after birth
The following methods are not legalized and are not accepted in the country.
